Rise appointed to deliver Independent Culture Review of the Nursing & Midwifery Council
Rise Associates and Nazir Afzal OBE have been appointed to deliver an independent culture review of one of the world's largest health regulators. The appointment by the Nursing and Midwifery Council follows concerns raised within the organisation on issues including racism, sexism and a lack of freedom to speak up.
The review follows our successful review of London Fire Brigade, which saw significant changes introduced including a Privacy for All programme, a commitment to greater engagement with London communities and a raft of measures to ensure dignity in the workplace and improved wellbeing.
Commenting on the appointment, Rise Associates Founder Matt Baker said: "It is a real honour to undertake this work and we are looking forward to getting to the root of some of the issues that have been raised. We want to help the Nursing and Midwifery Council improve their culture so all staff enjoy dignity at work, feel empowered to speak out and are able to act on complaints and put the health, safety and wellbeing of the public first."
